AL12
The AL12 is a dual-axis laser pair that clamps on a coupling or a shaft boss and prints offset and angular error as two numbers. A millwright can add shims or turn a jack bolt while the readout is still live, so the correction is finished in the same stoppage that found the drift. The kit is built for dirty floors: vacuum-pump skids, handler bases, and rotary frames that cannot wait for a shop alignment bench.
A typical setup is two brackets, one laser, one detector, and a short warm-up. Horizontal and vertical planes are read together, which keeps the technician from chasing one axis while the other opens. Soft foot is checked before the first shim stack; feet that rock will throw the heads as soon as the hold-down bolts come down.
When both numbers sit inside the allowed band, torque the bolts and read once more. A single good snapshot before torque is not a closed job. The same kit is the follow-up when a VibeSense trace has already named a coupling that is chewing a seal.
